Mason Peason brushes

Mason Pearson are the Ferrari of hair brushes, they are still made to the same original 1885 design and every brush is still handmade.
The founder of the company who also invented and engineered the first brushes came from Yorkshire, he moved to London to work at the British Steam Brush Works, The company was a small business hand making hair brushes.
Mason invented the “pneumatic” rubber-cushion hairbrush. During this period, the decision was made to concentrate on Mason Pearson’s rubber-cushion hairbrush. The product design used nowadays is the same as the original 1885 model with the improvements of the fully developed models of the early 1920s. The basic product has not changed since then.

What makes Mason Pearson brushes so great is there unique design and their use of quality materials compared to many mass produced brushes. The unique rubber-cushion pad, made by hand using Mason Pearson’s original techniques, allows for effective and efficient brushing. It is kind to the head and hair and massages the scalp whilst brushing.
It has also been proven to help clean the hair, stimulate the scalp an increase blood flow to the hair roots which encourages healthy hair growth.
Mason Pearson were the first brushes with the cushioned hairbrush / pneumatic pad. This means that the cushion allows the bristles to reach all parts of the scalp and every lock of hair without irritation of the skin. This then stimulates circulation to the hair follicles, ex-foliates the scalp and distributes natural oils from the scalp which makes hair shiny and strong

The different types of brushes that are available suit all types of different hair, they use Boar Bristle tufts which are best used on fine hair, also the Boar Bristle and Nylon tuft combination which is great for thick hair.
