Aveda Show Off Their Green Credentials

Aveda Skincare and Beauty Products at Richard John Hair and BeautyIt is reported that the 2008 Aveda marketing campaign will focus upon the their green credentials. The reason behind this is that comsumers today believe that it is important to buy products from ecologically responsible companies.

Aveda, owned by Estee Lauder, are planning to focus upon a new green issue every 6 to 8 weeks. The new campaign called “Beauty is as Beauty Does” will kick off in January 2008 with advertising focussed upon wind energy and how Aveda use wind turbines to power one of their US factories. As of mid February 2008 they will start promoting their efforts to use 100% recycled materials for their Aveda product packaging.

Aveda is a very exclusive range. They have the capital to show off.

I think they are following the direction of Body Shop, which might not be a bad thing.
